About the Bride
What do
you say about a woman who literally changes your
life around on in one swoop? I think she swept
ME off my feet, and I didn't see it coming. My
best friend, confidant, my strength, and someone
I can depend on for the rest of our lives. Oh,
and she's a great cook as
well....hehehehehe
But
seriously....
It sounds like a cliche,
but I've never had any real success in dating,
now I know why. I was waiting for Kellyanne. We
ARE soul mates, and I'm such a believer in fate
now, as so many things could have gone wrong for
our paths NOT to cross, it amazes me. It was
meant to be. and I feel so lucky to have her,
and love her.

About the Groom
Scott
is honestly one of the most amazing human beings
I have ever met. He is the epitome of a nice,
decent guy. I still have a hard time believing
that he wants to marry simple little old me,
sometimes I have to pinch myself. Then I go down
into the basement, see all his stuff, and I know
he's really here and he isn't going anywhere -
mainly because it would take to long to pack.
(Just kidding!)
Scott truly is my
soulmate. He understands me when I have to be
silly or goofy, he holds me when I need comfort,
he doesn't laugh when I cry at sad movies.
He lets me really be me, all the time.
And that is the best and most real reason to
join two lives together for a
lifetime.

How We Met
Well, like the true geeks we are, we met on the internet. After chatting up a storm on-line on Natal Day 2002, then talking on the phone for 3 hours that evening, we decided we should get together the next day for coffee to see if the conversation was as good in person. It was. And we've pretty much been together ever since.
Our First Date
Our first true date? Scott brought over home movies of himself as a baby, took
me to Point Pleasant Park to feed the squirrels, then took me to meet his mother. All on the same day. Three days after we met.
For our first official date, we went to the Al Fresco
Film Festo on the Halifax Waterfront to see "Xanadu". As cheesy as it might
be, that movie will always hold a special place in our hearts & minds. Scott
still talks about how great I looked in my denim dress.

We Knew It Was Love When.....
I knew
it when Scott helped me when my toilet
overflowed. I was just panicked about the whole
thing, but he was my knight in shining armor. I
knew then he was something special that I did
not want to let out of my life. A lesser man
might have fled at the mess, but he waded right
in to help me. And then he held me afterward
when I had a
mini-meltdown. -KellyAnne

The Story Of Our Engagement
Funny... the lady at the jewelry store
thought Scott was marrying John (his best man). They went to pick up the ring,
and the store gave them the wrong one, because they lost mine. Scott didn't
notice the difference.
Scott picked me up at work, and he had the ring hanging from the rearview mirror
attached to a cute little stuffed red heart. When I saw it there I did start
to cry, then he took it off, slid it on my finger, and told me how much he loved
me & how I changed his entire life. When he finally got the the part where
he said "Will you marry me?" I am sure his jaw hit the floor when I said "No."
Actually, what I said, through my tears, was "yes, I will marry you, but not
with this ring."
The jewelry store had given Scott a man's wedding band rather than my beautiful
ring. We hightailed it to the store before they closed, and within 2 days they
had the right ring sized and ready for me, so Scott proposed again in our living
room, but it was a bit anticlimatic after the wrong ring proposal. That one
is special in my heart. And we ended up with a great story to share about the
whole situation.
